Running aside, this tip has made life a little easier, eliminating one of life's little headaches. The untied shoe! I had a pair of dress shoes that would always come undone, but no more! Hope all is well with you and yours!

Thanks fro the tip, Danny. While I am not a runner and haven't any plans to begin running, I just tried this reef technique on my shoes. It does make a perfect knot. Cool! I'm going to tie my grandkids sneakers this way now...maybe the laces won't come loose so often! And I thought I knew everything...

Keep up the great communication. Your student Anthony

Good tip about the dogs... my wife and I have been looking into "better" dog foods and this sounds like a great option for us to try. Thanks for the tip!

My family always uses smaller plates and it does help with portion size. We also use white plates and it does accentuate the food nicely. I would try hiding all the large plates for a week and he won't even notice the difference!

I just read an article about this too! I'm so glad you elaborated. It was hard to imagine that shoe could make such claims to improve your tone. I'm SO glad I never invested in a pair. I tried on a pair, and all it did was give me foot cramps. No thanks.

I'll stick to my New Balance and hit the pavement for a few miles, I'm pretty sure thats how other people do it too :)

If your dogs act like they are still hungry, try mixing in green beans (washed and drained if canned). It fills them up a little more without adding the calories of dog food. :) I did it with my Weimaraner when she was eating my Vizsla's leftover food. (Vizsla had valley fever and lost her appetite.) I run agility with them, so I can't let them hold extra weight as it's hard on the joints.

I switched to the smaller plate a while ago but my husband hasn't caught on yet. I want to replace my dark blue dinnerware with white--I've heard that the food looks better on white, making it easier to be mindful.

I also do the 12 ounce curl!

I do some of these workouts at home and some at the gym- really whatever works for my schedule that week. If I need to change up the exercises because of lack of equipment, then I do. Simple.

To answer your question, yes the elliptical machine will work for intervals as well. You can turn any cardiovascular activity into intervals- elliptical, swimming, biking, running. Just work hard, then recover, work hard, recover, and repeat until you are ready for a nap!
